In the Documents section of Aproplan, you can add a new version to a document that has already been uploaded. If you are a project administrator, you can add a new version even if you were not the original uploader of the document.
Important: The X and Y coordinates must match those of the original version. When you upload a new version of a plan, the pins (point locations) are automatically shown on the new version.
If the new plan version does not have the same dimensions as the original, the points will be displayed incorrectly, as they keep the original coordinates.
Step-by-step Guide for Adding a New Version of a Document
1. Start by accessing your project and click on "Documents" to open the documents section:
2. Hover over a document with your cursor and click on the three dots that appear on the right-side of the document:
3. A menu appears, click on "Add version" to add a new version of your document:
4. A pop-up window appears. Click on the blue "browse" link to upload a document from your desktop as the new version of a document:
5. After uploading the document, another window appears:
A: Name of the uploaded file

Comparing Two Versions of a Plan
While the document is open in full screen, select one of the versions you want to look at. Click on the "compare versions" icon:
Example: If you are viewing version 1, click on the "Compare with" button and click on version 2:
The document comparison interface opens with the following options you can choose from:
A: Pan mode | E: Document comparison |
B: Zoom out | F: Old document view, New document view, Comparison view |
C: Zoom in | G: Align Documents |
D: Fit width | H: Magnifier |
If you wish to align the old document with the new document, click on "Align Documents":
Select three points on both documents for manual alignment. For best results, choose points near the corners of the documents, ensuring the points are in the same order on both documents. By using the magnifier, you can precisely pinpoint the corner pixels of the document:
After aligning both the old and the new document with the pinpoints, a green checkmark will appear on the tabs and both versions will be blended together and displayed in the "Comparison" tab:
Note: Any updates on the plan design of a document version will be highlighted red on the plan when viewing the Comparison tab after aligning both documents.
