You can archive a document when it is no longer needed. Archiving is a non-destructive way to remove a document from the active project overview, as archived documents can still be accessed later if needed.
Deleting a document, on the other hand, is a destructive action. Deleted documents are permanently removed from the project and cannot be recovered.
Depending on your access rights, you may or may not be able to edit, archive, or delete documents.
Archiving a Document
1. Start by accessing your project and click on Documents in the navigation menu on the left-side panel to open the documents section:
2. Hover over a document with your cursor and click on the three vertical dots that appear on the right-side:
3. A menu appears where you can then choose between Edit, Archive, Delete, Show details of the document and Add version. Click on "Archive" to archive the document:
4. The document is successfully archived:
Note: After refreshing the documents list, you will only see the active documents.
Unarchiving a Document
1. Click on the "Views" button to view your saved filters. Then, click on "Archived documents" to open the archived documents overview:
2. You will see the archived documents are displayed in italic type:
3. Hover over the document with your cursor, click on the three vertical dots that appear:
4. Click on "Unarchive" to unarchive the document:
5. The document has successfully been made active again:
Note: After refreshing the documents list, you will only see the archived documents.
6. Click on the "Views" button and click on "Active documents" to go back to the active documents overview:
