Backing Up Data in the Application - Web version

Written by Dinh van der Does

You cannot back up all your data on your own.

However, you can request a backup of your projects with the assistance of our Support team by contacting our customer support team via our chat.

Please note that a fee applies to data backup requests. For more information, contact your Sales or Customer Success Representative.

That said, whether you have a free or paid license, you can already download and save many files to your computer, such as reports generated, meeting reports, reports with remarks or plans, as well as documents, pictures, and more.

Full Data Export

If you require a complete backup of your project data, we can provide a full data export of your environment.

The export is primarily intended for data retention, archiving and compliance purposes. Please note that it is not designed to replace the functionality and user experience of the application.

Pricing

A full data export is available for a one-off fee. For more information about the pricing, contact your Sales or Customer Success Representative.

What is included?

You will receive the export as a ZIP file, organised per project. For each project, the export can include:

  • Plans – drawings, floor plans, etc.

  • Documents – based on the selected folders

  • Reports

  • Photos

  • Points – provided separately in Excel

Plans & Documents

Plans and documents are exported in their original file formats, such as PDF, DWG, etc. Where applicable, the version history is also preserved, with the different versions organised within dedicated folders.

Photos

Photos are exported as separate files within the relevant folders.

Where applicable, they can be cross-referenced with points through their file names, rather than being embedded directly into the Excel export.

Points

All points are exported to an Excel file, including their latest available status and information. Please note that:

  • The visual position of points on drawings is not available in the Excel file.

  • Images are not embedded directly in the Excel file.

Important to know

The exported data remains accessible after leaving the application, but the experience is naturally different from working within the platform itself.

For example, the export does not retain:

  • Interactive drawings with point/pin positioning.

  • Native visualisation of issues directly on plans.

  • Direct interactive links between points and their images.

As a result, finding and cross-referencing certain information may require more manual work than when accessing the same data directly within the application.

In short: the full data export provides a structured backup of your project information for long-term retention and reference, rather than an offline version of the application.
