Where can I find the logs for issues encountered during plugin installation or plugin use?
If you encounter a problem during setup, run the setup with a parameter for logs to be enabled. When needed, you can send these logs to our support. To enable logs, do the following:
Open a console
Go to the folder where the setup is
Run the following command
msiexec /i Aproplan.RevitSetup.msi /l*v setup.log
The file "setup.log" will be created next to the msi file, which should contain all error details.
Any problem encountered while using the app are created in logs by the login. You can find these logs in this folder:
%AppData%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\[last version of revit number]\\2019\Aproplan.RevitPlugin\logs
This folder should contain files with the “.log” extension for each time the plugin is used, which should contain all details of the errors.
How do I install the Revit plugin if I have multiple versions of Revit on the same computer?
To maintain the plugin for multiple versions of Revit, you need to install the plugin manually by copying the latest Revit version installed onto the other versions.
Go to %AppData%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\[last version of revit number] folder
Copy the Aproplan.Revit.addin and Aproplan.RevitPlugin folder to the other versions of the Revit folder: %AppData%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\[others versions]
